The Awkward Auctioneer
As Joey was on his way to his first day of work at his new job he said to himself, "Why am I doing this?" The truth was, Joey was a very, Very, VERY, shy person, and his first job in a while was being an auctioneer. Now the average person would ask, why would this shy person get a job that included this much public interaction. It seems that the professional auctioneer that was supposed to star in the big finale of Auction Hunters had quit the job. Now Joey had been signing up to be the backup auctioneer for Auction Hunters for the whole season. He had taken this role tons of times and he was never needed, and he still got paid just for being there watching, what a bonus right? But today Joey got the call saying the front man quit and that he was going to have to do the auction. Joey nearly threw up right there, but he still went to work just in case they found another person to do it instead of him. Unfortunately, they didn't. It was then time to show everyone who he really was. He started to walk on stage. One step. Two step. Three step. THUD!

First off, I love Auction Hunters. This is a funny short story Matt, I enjoyed reading it, but the only problem I could notice was the punctuation in certain parts. Just polish up your next post, and I'm sure it will be even better! :)
ReplyDeleteMichael's right, it is a funny story. don't feel like you have to be bound by only what you wrote in class...extend it! polish it! paragraphs would be nice;)
ReplyDeleteI can't believe this is all you have done:( Matthew, you are really falling behind.
ReplyDeletelmao! this is soo funny! this story was very descriptive and well written. it was short and sweet. comedies are very difficult to effectively write but throughout the story i was enthralled. there was good use of suspense as well. :)
